Clark-Hamlin Cattlemen's Association Hosts Annual Meeting
The Clark Hamlin Cattlemen’s Association met on with several cattlemen and women on February 17th in Bryant, SD, for their annual meeting. The meeting started with the announcement of last year’s scholarship winners, Tyler Opdahl and Alicia Vig, learning about their schooling, and plans after school. Secretary Ryan Schmidt, Treasurer John Roe, and President Chance Popham all provided an update from last year’s annual meeting and a year in review. Clark Hamlin had a big year from selling Beef Bucks at local basketball games, volunteering at the South Dakota State Fair Beef Booth, and their annual scholarship. President Popham was re-elected, and Justin Lamount was nominated and elected to serve on the board.
SDCA President Warren Symens and Northeast Region Director, Drew Edleman, informed the group on topics in Pierre, summer Region Roundup meetings and Cattle Con in Orlando. To wrap up the night, Kelsey Ramerth from the Hamlin County Natural Resources Conservation Services, discussed cost share opportunities for farmers and ranchers.
